Product Detail

MARSREF is a supplier of mullite bricks. Mullite brick is a high-alumina refractory material with mullite (Al2O3•SiO2) as the main crystalline phase, and the average alumina content is between 65% and 75%. In addition to mullite, the mineral composition also contains a small amount of glass and quartz with a lower alumina; the one with a higher alumina content contains a small amount of corundum. The refractoriness is higher, up to 1790℃. The under load starting temperature 1600~1700℃. The room temperature crushing strength is 70~260MPa. Good thermal shock resistance.

Mullite bricks are widely used in slag gasifier, synthetic ammonia converters, carbon black reactors, refractory kilns, hot blast furnace tops, blast furnace bodies and bottoms, glass melting furnace regenerators, ceramic high-temperature kilns, etc.
